Friendly Phone Companions

Friendly Phone Companions are volunteers who have agreed to contact a senior each week to provide positive conversation via the telephone. The length of each call will vary on the topics and subject matter discussed – some talk on the phone for an hour, others in 10 minute increments throughout the week. Phone companions are only responsible for making contact over the telephone. They do not visit in the home. Regular conversation with a phone companion gives them someone to talk to about opinions, thoughts and share life experiences. Genuine friendships have been formed over the years by means of phone companions!
